Bluffton Lions Foundation raises $25,000 for charities

The Bluffton Hometown Amerifest was held Saturday and Sunday, June 26 & 27, 2010.  The event is the merger of three separate functions, the Festival of Wheels, Relay for Life and Freedom Fest.

According to Dick Ramseyer, the Foundation’s Festival of Wheels/Corvette Raffle raised over $25,000 for nineteen charities.  Joan Swank, of Van Wert, Ohio, won the raffle.  The drawing was held at the Bluffton Hometown Amerifest.  Keys to the 1990 Corvette hatchback were presented to the winner at Buds Corvette dealership in St. Marys, Ohio.

Next years’ Amerifest will be held Friday and Saturday, June 24 and 25, 2011.  Amerifest 2011 will be held in conjunction with Bluffton’s sesquicentennial celebration next summer.
